About Us

March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. Today, we're striving to end maternal health risks and death, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap. The maternal and infant health crisis is real—but so is our impact. From providing access to quality health care to mobilizing our community to create lasting change for moms and babies, we're ensuring families can get the best possible start.

Key areas of focus

• Dismantle racism and address unequal treatment
• Increase access to high quality healthcare
• Build safe and connected communities

Mission in action

• NICU Family Support® is a premiere program for neonatal intensive care units (NICU). We’re proud to partner with Miller Children’s Hospital, Cedars-Sinai, and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
• Provide NICU families with essential items and engaging baby showers at local hospitals across the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.
• Advocacy: March of Dimes policy priorities focus on three main areas: Increase Access to Quality Healthcare, Support Healthy Women and Babies, Improve Research and Surveillance.
