Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Forms New
Partnership with the California Restaurant Association

The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the
California Restaurant Association, CRA, to support its members
with value-oriented benefits and access to zealous legislative advocacy

LONG BEACH, Calif., (August 21, 2023) – The food service industry faces turbulent economic, workforce, and regulatory challenges making for a difficult operating environment over the next several years. The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced a new partnership with the California Restaurant Association, CRA, to bring value-oriented benefits to its members to overcome these challenges. The CRA seeks to amplify the voice of restaurants in state and local policy making while providing access to discounted rates on restaurant products and services.
"At the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, our members’ prosperity is at the core of our mission,” said  Jeremy Harris, President and CEO of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “Through our collaboration with the California Restaurant Association, we extend our support by proving valuable benefits and a united voice, to strengthen our members’ position in an ever-changing business landscape.”
As the statewide advocacy organization for the restaurant and food service industry in California, the CRA will notify members when legislation is being considered which may impact businesses, and they will ask for the power of its members’ voices to advocate for legislative outcomes, which support the food service industry.

The CRA makes responding to a call to action easy through the “Voter Voice Platform.” Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce members can take advantage of products and services offered at a discount through the partnership with the CRA to include:

  • Workers compensation insurance.
  • Comprehensive and supplemental health insurance plans (great for employee retention).
  • Credit card payment and point of sale systems.
  • Employee hiring and training tools.
  • Music streaming licenses.
  • One free ticket to the Western Foodservice and Hospitality Expo.
The CRA will provide access to their member facing communications, including insights into regional economic trends and legislative advocacy news on topics that uniquely impact the food service industry. To receive benefits, members must subscribe to CRA communication channels and participate in legislative calls to actions.
Members will receive an email from the CRA with instructions for logging in to their member portal to sign up for benefits or reach out directly to the CRA by emailing or calling Peter Fenolio, Director of Industry Engagement at
pfenolio@calrest.org or 916-431-2745.
