Kiiwi Launches in Long Beach, Connecting Local Businesses and Residents Through Real-Time Deals

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 2026) – A new Long Beach–based technology platform is
helping local businesses attract customers while giving residents access to meaningful, real-time
savings across the city.

Kiiwi, a free mobile app designed to connect consumers with nearby businesses through time- sensitive offers, officially soft launched on November 30, 2025. Since launch, the company has continued to refine the product, working through early-stage improvements and recently releasing a fully redesigned user interface that significantly enhances the overall user experience. Today, Kiiwi has grown to more than 50 participating local merchants and over 3,000 users, with continued expansion across key categories including restaurants, coffee shops, fitness studios, and beauty services.

Kiiwi allows businesses to instantly publish real-time offers to nearby consumers, helping drive foot traffic during slower periods while maintaining full control over pricing and availability. For residents, the platformoffers a simple way to discover nearby deals that are relevant, timely, and easy to redeem.

“Our goal is simple — help local businesses grow while giving the community a better way to save money right around them,” said Dave Garden, Founder of Kiiwi. “We’re building something specifically for Long Beach, and we’re proud to be growing alongside the businesses and residents here.” The best part for small businesses is that we give you our personal cell phone number to offer real time, human and local support anytime you need it. As part of its continued investment in the Long Beach community, Kiiwi recently brought on a local Long Beach-based social media manager to ensure its content, messaging, and engagement reflect the culture and energy of the city.

Kiiwi is also proud to partner with California State University, Long Beach for its upcoming Commencement Week, helping welcome thousands of visitors to Long Beach while supporting local businesses.

During Commencement Week (May 17–22, 2026), Kiiwi will collaborate with participating merchants to offer exclusive promotions for graduates and their families. Through the platform:
  • Local businesses can publish special commencement offers in real time
  • Kiiwi will subsidize select offers to increase value for customers
  • All platform and processing fees will be waived during the program
  • Merchants will receive measurable redemption data through the app

In addition, Kiiwi will invest in citywide marketing and cross-promotion to drive awareness and foot traffic to participating businesses during one of Long Beach’s busiest weeks of the year.

Participation in the program is open to a limited number of local businesses, with onboarding designed to be fast, simple, and free.

Kiiwi’s mission is to strengthen the local economy by creating a more direct connection between businesses and the community they serve — making it easier for residents to discover and support local businesses, while helping those businesses grow in a measurable way.
