LONG BEACH, Calif. (February 10, 2024) – On Thursday, February 6, the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce was honored with a Video Award at the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Conference in Las Vegas. The award recognizes chambers that effectively communicate their mission, impact, and value to members, the local economy, and the broader community.
The winning video highlights Long Beach Area Chamber members sharing their experiences and the role the Chamber has played in supporting their businesses. Featured participants include Jorge Enciso (Boos & Associates), Jon Mesko (Long Beach Blast), Ken Buck (Joe Jost’s), Steve Caloca (The Queen Mary), and Trina Severson (Beachwood Brewing). The video can be viewed on the Chamber’s website here: https://www.lbchamber.com/who-we-are/.
“Winning this award is a testament to our Chamber’s commitment to keeping our business community informed, engaged, and connected,” said Jeremy Harris, ACE, IOM, president and CEO of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and this video reflects the impact of Chamber membership in their own words.”
“Our goal with this video was to tell the story of our members and the meaningful ways the Chamber supports them,” said Marilynn Singer, communications manager for the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an honor to have that work recognized, but even more rewarding to highlight the voices of our business community.”
The Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) is the premier organization for education and professional development for chamber executives and staff. W.A.C.E. represents more than 450 chambers and over 1,300 chamber professionals across 21 states and Canada.
In addition to the Video Award, the Chamber’s Vice President of Membership, Natalie Leighton was recognized at the W.A.C.E. Conference for her role in the Emerging Leaders Council and received a five-year industry recognition for her dedication to the chamber profession.
