The Tale of the Allergist's Wife

Marjorie Taub, a middle-aged Upper West Side doctor?s wife, leads a seemingly satisfactory, prestigiously regimented lifestyle. Scheduled down to the minute, she spends her mornings at the Whitney, afternoons at MOMA and evenings at BAM. But when she is suddenly flung into a mid-life crisis following a nervous breakdown in the Disney store, she is shaken out of her monotonous existence by the reappearance of a flamboyantly mysterious childhood friend.
