The Long Beach Legacy Triathlon Returns this July as the City Gears Up for the Summer Season
Celebrating South California’s rich Olympic history! The popular Long Beach Legacy Triathlon, Southern California’s premier athletic event, returns this summer. This two-day event, set to take place on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21, will offer athletes the opportunity to race the proposed course that Olympians and Paralympics will tackle in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The Long Beach Legacy Triathlon is now organized through supertri, known for its innovative and captivating closed-league racing format who has revolutionized triathlons, delivering swift, technical, and strategic races with the world’s top athletes on team-based, stadium-like courses. Athletes of all levels are invited to register now to participate in the either the Sprint Distance, Olympic Distance, Corporate Challenge, or Kids Splash & Dash events. Known for its accessibility to beginners and seasoned athletes alike, the Long Beach Legacy Triathlon offers a welcoming environment for participants of all skill levels, with the option to participate alone or start a relay and tackle the Triathlon as a team. Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) will be the beneficiary for this year’s Triathlon, with fundraising efforts supporting the hospital’s Pediatric Cancer Research Program. This year’s schedule includes: A Sprint Distance race (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) with both individual, relay and Corporate Challenge categories An Olympic Distance race (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run) with both individual, relay and Corporate Challenge categories A Kids’ Splash and Dash Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) will be the beneficiary for this year’s Triathlon, with fundraising efforts supporting the hospital’s Pediatric Cancer Research Program. This exclusive network of professionals builds lasting connections through Corporate Challenge Club bike rides, pool clinics and open water swim clinics.
