Summer Fest 2016

This very special fundraiser, produced by Chef Michael Shafer, will help the Volunteer Center continue its mission to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community needs. The evening will feature a multi-course, gourmet buffet and beer and wine bar, and special libations specifically created by Chef Shafer, lively music and dancing provided by Ramfunkshus featuring Barry Reynolds, along with an array of exciting silent and live auction items and raffle baskets. Proceeds from this event will help support key programs that engage and inspire volunteers to give back to the community. We invite you to join us in supporting some of our most loved programs: •Operation Teddy Bear distributes more than 5,000 literacy schoolbags filled with educational items to underserved first-graders. •Food for Kids provides hungry, low income and homeless elementary schoolchildren with bags of food to take home on Fridays and eat over the weekend. •The Youth Leadership Development program focuses on empowering and inspiring youth to give back to the community through service.
