Sowing the Seeds of Change: A Lecture on Native Plants and Sustainability
Rancho Los Alamitos presents our first lecture of the 2024 season: Sowing the Seeds of Change with California Native Plants and Sustainable Gardening Practices! Our lecturer, Andrew Chaves, is RLA’s Director of Operations and a passionate horticulturist, educator, and a certified UC California Naturalist.
In this illustrated talk, Andrew will reveal how you, through your gardening practices, can enact positive environmental change at home. As urbanization and habitat loss continue to threaten biodiversity, understanding the significance of native plants becomes paramount. Andrew will delve into the multifaceted benefits of embracing native plants, fostering a deeper connection between individuals and the environment. Together, let's sow the seeds of change and cultivate a future where our gardens flourish in harmony with the natural world! We hope you join us for an enlightening exploration of the crucial importance of incorporating native plants into your garden.
