Composer Ola Gjeilo has captured the wondrous sight of the Aurora Borealis in his music, which draws inspiration from the imagery and soul of these dark northern reaches. Featuring piano, saxophone and string quartet, the Long Beach Camerata Singers will present some of the most famous works from this outstanding living composer, including ‘Dark Night of the Soul’ and ‘Luminous Night of the Soul.
During the concert, the concert hall will be surrounded by the ethereal soundscapes of Scandinavia, and immersed in a panorama of Aurora Borealis and breathtaking landscapes of the tundra. The listening experience will be enhanced with a dual-projection system creating an immersive experience, transporting the audience to the composer’s homeland of Norway
