The New Face of Heroin and Opiate Addiction: What Every Family Needs to Know Our community has been hard hit by our nation's prescription drug and heroin epidemic. However, by arming ourselves with knowledge, we can confront this drug problem and safeguard our communities. The best way to empower ourselves is to understand waht led to this public health crisis and how we can address it. Phoenix House invites you to join us for a free educational forum at the Long Beach Library to discuss how we can protect our children, families, friends and communities. We will discuss the signs of addiction, what to look for when your friend of family member is in trouble, as well as offer local community resources.
