Apprenticeship and Workforce Development Accelerator with Port of Long Beach, Long Beach City College, TransPORTs and American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA)
Join representatives from U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship, the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA), Long Beach City College and the Port of Long Beach to learn about apprenticeship as a proven model of workforce development as well as how to receive free technical assistance, resources, and even incentive funding to jump-start development of an apprenticeship program to meet your organization’s unique workforce needs. Apprenticeship is a proven model of workforce development that generates significant financial ROI as well as long-term worker competency and loyalty. TransPORTs - a national U.S. DOL OA industry partner - can facilitate the process of developing an apprenticeship program with technical assistance, program support, and incentive funding. Members of the TransPORTs team, the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship, and the California Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship will be available after the meeting for further one-on-one discussion.
