The ‘2022 City National Bank Entrepreneur of the Year’ Event On April 28
Julia Huang to be presented with the prestigious City National Bank Entrepreneur
 of the Year award, the Chamber is set to celebrate the program’s 24th year

        LONG BEACH, Calif., (April 22, 2022) – Indra Nooyi, Sheryl Sandberg, Oprah Winfrey – and Julia Huang – all have the same thing in common, they are successful entrepreneurs, but only Huang will be honored at the “2022 City National Bank Entrepreneur of the Year” program presented by the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce at the Hyatt Regency on Thursday, April 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
        This will be the Chamber’s 24th occasion to bestow its most prestigious award of the year during the City National Bank ceremony. The Chamber will also recognize leaders who have made an indelible impact in Long Beach’s business and philanthropic communities. This year’s award recipients are:
- City National Bank Entrepreneur of the Year – Julia Huang, Founder and CEO of Intertrend.
- Don Temple Storage Philanthropic Pioneer Award – John Morris, Boathouse on the Bay.
- Chick-fil-A Community Spirit Award – Randy Gordon, Former President and CEO of The Chamber and Avid Community Supporter.
- Long Beach City College Shaun R. Lumachi Rising Star Award – Starr Bunch, Five Starr Pilates and Fitness.
- HCVT Corporate Citizen of the Year – Ensemble Real Estate Services, Inc.
        “We look forward every year to presenting the prestigious ‘City National Bank Entrepreneur of the Year’ program.  This year marks our 24th anniversary and we are grateful to City National for their long-lasting partnership,” said Jeremy Harris, President and CEO of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “Equally important is the opportunity to honor Julia Huang who has been a pioneer in the Long Beach business community for more than 40 years. She is a great leader and supporter, and we’re grateful for her dedication and commitment to the city.”
        Huang founded Intertrend in 1991, a multicultural creative agency at the intersection of emerging trends and the interaction between brands and consumers. Intertrend is known in the industry to create deeply resonant and exceptional consumer experiences for leading brands in automotive, financial services, retail, entertainment, pharmaceutical and telecom. She has been recognized with several awards and honors, and in 2014 she was selected by Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit as one of the Top Ten Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs in the U.S.

        The “2022 City National Bank Entrepreneur of the Year” program is open to the public, but advance registration is required. Groups and individuals interested must register by April 27. City National Bank is the Title Sponsor and Precious Lamb Preschool is an event sponsor for the program.
        Sponsorship opportunities for the “2022 City National Bank Entrepreneur of the Year” event are going fast with just a few Diamond Level sponsors remaining at $10,000 and Platinum Level sponsors at $5,000, along with Gold Level sponsors at $2,500, Silver Level sponsors at $1,500 and Bronze Level sponsors at $750.
