Programs Manager/Executive Assistant to President/CEO

The Programs Manager/Executive Assistant to President/CEO is expected to handle a wide range of high-level administrative tasks including executive communication, handling of corporate documents, and arranging large-scale events and programs.
 


 
Title: Programs Manager/Executive Assistant to the President/CEO
Location: Long Beach, CA                          
Full Time - Exempt                                                                                Salary: $60,000-$65,000
 
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: to manage and assist the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber)’s major fundraising events and programs. To develop marketing strategies and promotions as well as all major correspondence associated with each event and programs.  Responsible for the daily organization and clerical support for the Chamber office while reporting directly to the President/CEO. Works closely with the President/CEO in board administration and support, as well as community development and membership development.
 
REQUIREMENTS:  5 years in marketing/promotional event planning experience at the executive level in any related field. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize projects, and practice efficient time management.
 
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Project Management; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in event planning and/or administrative assistant support.
