SUMMARY:Session 2: Business Finance Literacy Series
DESCRIPTION:This series covers what you need to know\, from bookkeeping to financial management. You will learn what data you need to record to how you can use that information to analyze business performance. Each class can be taken separately or combined for a thorough understanding.\n\nThe remaining sessions are held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on November 29 and December 6\, 2022\n\nSession 2:\n\nA simple Excel financial model can be created using your company's financial data (historical and/or forecasted).\n\n \n\nCFOs and financial analysts use Excel models to determine if/when a company will be profitable\, what is the correct selling price\, how many "widgets" need to be sold to be cover cost\, and how much money is available to pay expenses.\n\n \n\nFinancial models are used for start-ups and for on-going analysis to make sure the company is operating at an optimal financial performance. This process is also used to identify financial issues BEFORE they happen.\n\n \n\nIn this session we will begin with a blank Excel document and create a financial model for a sample company. By the end of the seminar you will understand how to create a customized Excel model for your business.\n\n \n\nThis webinar is taught by Lori Williams\, who has an extensive background in finance working as a CFO turnaround consultant\, banker and professor.
