Theresa Plakos\, the organization's Public Relations Director\, has been an advocate for those facing cancer since joining the nonprofit in 2010\, motivated by a close friend's battle with breast cancer.\n\n \n\nTheresa collaborates with medical and non-medical communities\, as well as local media\, to raise awareness of the more than 200 free programs offered each month by Cancer Support Community South Bay. These programs provide vital social and emotional support\, education\, and hope to those affected by cancer and their loved ones.\n\n \n\nServing the South Bay\, Long Beach\, and Orange County areas\, Cancer Support Community South Bay is dedicated to ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.
