DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly in-person Good Afternoon Long Beach event!\n\n\n\nMake sure you and you're business are going into 2022 prepared as we learn about new labor and employment laws from Patrick Gangitano!\n\n \nFeatured Speaker: Patrick Gangitano of Gangitano Law\n\n\n\nGangitano Law\, PC represents businesses and individuals in employment law and business disputes\, and advises employers on HR issues. Patrick Gangitano's practice focuses on civil litigation\, arbitration\, administrative hearings\, as well as the drafting of employment documents and other contracts. Pat has been selected to the "Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars" list for the past two years.\n\n\n\nBefore forming Gangitano Law\, PC in 2020\, Pat was partner at a boutique civil litigation firm in Long Beach\, where he spent seven years handling employment and business disputes for local businesses and individual employees. Prior to that\, his practice was devoted entirely to the defense of workers' compensation claims. He earned his JD and MBA from Chapman University.  Pat lives in downtown Long Beach with his wife\, and they are expecting their first child in May of 2021. He is an active member of Provisors\, the Orange County Bar Association\, the Long Beach Bar Association (2018 President of the Barristers section)\, the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (2018 President of the Long Beach Young Professionals section)\, and the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce.\n\n\n\n Presentation: Key Changes to California Law in the New Year\n\n\n\nCalifornia employers know that the state's many employee protections and HR regulations can be confusing\, and violations can be costly. Those employment laws are also constantly changing. Patrick Gangitano from Gangitano Law\, PC in Seal Beach will be providing Chamber members with an update about new California employment laws to be aware of in 2022\, and discussing how employers can remain compliant in the new year.\n\n\n\nBe sure to bring business cards to share while networking and be prepared to share a 30 second elevator pitch with attendees!\n\n\n\nCOVID-19 Event Requirements:\n\nThe Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has enacted the following guidelines in order to protect the health and safety of our members\, the Chamber team\, and the community for in-person programming and events. The Chamber will now require proof of full vaccination on the day of the event OR a negative COVID-19 test (antigen test within 24 hours or PCR test within 48 hours of the event).
