DESCRIPTION:Featured Speaker: Courtney Chatterson\, Communications Specialist\, Long Beach Office of Sustainability\n\n \n\nCourtney joined the City in December 2016. She manages all communications for the Office of Sustainability and is the Green Business Program Coordinator. Courtney has a Bachelor?s degree in International Studies\, with a Communications emphasis\, and a minor in Nonprofit Management. She spent some time living in Haiti and Mexico before getting her Master's in International Development from the Graduate Institute in Geneva\, Switzerland. She is passionate about sustainable development and contributing to a healthy\, prosperous\, and environmentally friendly community in Long Beach.\n\n \n\nPresentation: Long Beach Green Business Certification Program\n\n \n\nThe Long Beach Office of Sustainability will be doing a short presentation on the Green Business Program and building a community of businesses that are invested in protecting the environment. The program provides assistance on recycling\, purchasing\, energy and water conservation and efficiency\, pollution prevention\, and transportation. Implementing these measures helps reduce long-term operating costs while showcasing environmental practices. Long Beach currently has 32 certified Green Businesses and more than 50 in-progress businesses enrolled in the program.\n\n\n\nGet to know your fellow Chamber Members!\n\n\n\nEach of the attendees will have 30 seconds to present an introduction to their business\, so have your best elevator pitch ready and bring plenty of business cards.  We hope to see you there!
